Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actor, director, producer, playwright and educator in St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is being the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her plays as a child and observing her mother at work. Early on Anna was a part of a variety of commercials on television. Anna was able to move to Toronto Ontario in order to pursue her acting. Over the years which followed, she moved into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. The two were engaged by the year 2009. They married with a civil ceremony on ended in December. They renew their vows during the form of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 following Anna's conversion to Judaism. Bo's relationship to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was featured in CNN's list of all-time most viewed Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's social media following grew following the popularity of her show.
