Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. When she was a child Paula Patton grew up in a Los Angeles middle-class household. A passion for film within her daughter was a skill that she learned from her mother, who was also a fan of movies. Paula took part in numerous activities at school that were co-curricular, but she had an interest in drama. She was a huge fan of acting alongside her peers and was a participant in school's stage shows. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her profession. She attended The University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly was awed by her experience. She was awarded a three-month project making documentaries for PBS. She started as production assistant for television documentaries, after completing her assignment. After completing her assignment, she started producing documentary films. While she enjoyed working in the field, she was aspired to become an actress. Her career in acting started with an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in many productions and films.
