Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, TV host and performer famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a troubled family. She spent the majority of her growing up taking care of her older sister Frankie who suffered from an illness called polio. When she was a child, she had difficulties with her mom. Sheryl said she was once told that her mother had stabbed an uncle of her daughter as she had been a little too close to him. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from college. However, her interests lay in the field of comedy. She was chosen as the first ever female finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, held in 1989. She began her TV profession in the year 1992 when she appeared as a frequent participant in the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011, she has been co-hosting the talk show. In addition, she has played a fictional character in shows such as Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
