Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who was able to transcend over from country music to mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the world of pop. The singer also swept the entire globe in the process. Swift has shed her country roots like they were second skins showing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter of her time. Swift is able to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her unique. This was evident in her early hits including the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering who she was and in the process, finding a mass audience. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified songs. Its Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the most important reasons. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this success and moved Swift towards the top of stardom. With the three albums following (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012, 1989 2014 along with Reputation 2017. Swift's popularity only increased. This was a sure indication that she was in an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. Her popularity grew even after she altered her plan by releasing 2020's streamlined Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
